Greetings, fellow bloom enthusiasts!

As we reflect on the incredible journey of Blooms on Bloom’s first year, we’re overjoyed to share the strides we’ve made since establishing our urban oasis in the heart of Boise. The past year has been a tapestry of growth, challenges, and vibrant blooms that have colored our days and filled our hearts.

When we embarked on this urban farm venture in 2022, the vision was clear: to transform 1.5 acres of potential into a haven where flowers, fruits, and community intertwine. Fast forward to 2023, and the blooms tell a story of hard work, dedication, and a touch of whimsy.

In our inaugural year, we took root in the rich soil of Boise, expanding our landscape to encompass not just a flower farm but also a flourishing pasture and a promising orchard. The urban farm dream, cultivated by the Sorensen Family, began with Erin’s childhood fascination with her mother’s flower garden, and it’s grown into a passion that prompted a family move in the fall of 2022.

Yet, as any gardener knows, the journey is a continual process of growth and adaptation. Half-built farm structures stood as a testament to our ambitious dreams when we moved in. These structures, now eagerly awaiting completion, represent the next chapter of our story. In 2024, our goal is to see these structures rise to their full potential, providing not just shelter but a canvas for our urban farm dreams.

But what’s a farm without the lifeblood of flourishing fields? The unexpected hiccup in our irrigation lateral in 2023 was a gentle reminder that growth comes with its challenges. This year, we’re setting our sights on building irrigation systems that will weave life back into our fields, ensuring every blossom dances with joy.
